December 28, 2007 at 7:47 pm | In Family, Milwaukee, Photography, Waukesha, Wisconsin | Leave a CommentAlmost all of my family and Brian’s family – our family – lives close by… so we get to see everyone during the Holidays. We had a great time – yummy food – and even better company. Here is a quick recap of half of our fun and excitement.

Snowed In!
December 28, 2007 at 4:22 pm | In Milwaukee, Photography, Waukesha, Wisconsin | Leave a CommentOk so this is Wisconsin and I’m not really snowed in… at least I won’t be once I fire up the snow-blower… oh wait – no snow-blower here but I do have a special ‘back-saver’ shovel
ok fine… I also have a brother-in-law with a plow.
A solid 6 inches!

It’s pretty – and it provides a good excuse to lounge around the house in my new fleece attire.
These branches look a little stressed from the weight.

I really am getting bundled up to go shovel at least the sidewalks right now.

They don’t seem to excited about Christmas – or maybe it was the hat – or possibly being trapped in their own Christmas stocking

This family is so loving and so greatful for their perfect new family – you need to check out their family blog for a glimpse into their crazy yet incredibly blessed journey: Triple the Love
The weather outside is frightful…
December 23, 2007 at 10:07 pm | In Family, Milwaukee, Photography, Wisconsin | Leave a CommentOur tree has been up and decorated for a couple of weeks but we just finished wrapping the last few gifts today – during the – umm – Packer game. There wasn’t a whole lot we could do outside today considering we were lucky enough to get 40mph gusts and below zero temps. On the bright side, we are ready for Christmas with about 36 hours to spare.

Tonight we also did our season’s worth of Holiday baking. This is it – about two dozen chocolate covered pretzels (and a few Ritz crackers with peppermint and chocolate – thanks for the yummy idea Rosy). You know how it is, if we make it then we just eat and I’m not real good at avoiding the temptation or maintaining control with sweets.

Merry Christmas!!

Vegas!
December 5, 2007 at 6:27 am | In Family, Photography | Leave a CommentHere’s a quick recap of our weekend in Vegas.
Thursday night we watched the Packer game on these three ginormous screens, I almost got motion sickness watching!

We stayed at the Venetian – it was beautiful.

Inside the Venetian…

The Bellagio definitely has the best Christmas display, this is only a shot of the top quarter of their Christmas tree. They also had reindeer made out of chestnuts and a ton of Christmas floral creations.

One night we went to Fremont street where they have a choreographed light show on the canopy that covers the entire street.
